About Dr. Green

Board Certified Sports Medicine

Dr. Mack Green is a board certified Sports Medicine physician. Dr. Green was born and raised in the High Desert and was a stand-out athlete at Hesperia High School as a football and basketball player. He went on to local California State University, San Bernardino where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology. From Cal State, he went abroad for medical school to Ross University where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He then completed Family Medicine residency followed by fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. During his fellowship he helped take care of the University of Oklahoma Sooners football and basketball teams, Oklahoma City Redhawks (AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros), Oklahoma City Barons (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers), Oklahoma City Thunder (peripherally), Oklahoma Christian University, and numerous high school teams in the Oklahoma City area.

Primary Care Sports Medicine is essentially non-operative orthopedics. Approximately 80% of musculoskeletal injuries do not require surgery. Dr. Green’s scope of practice includes diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injuries, fracture management, ultrasound guided injections, arthritis care, concussion management with return to play protocol, exercise prescription, and sports nutrition. He takes the time to explain the diagnosis with the patient, using visual posters, joint models, or giving the patient an injury/diagnosis specific handout to ensure better understanding of the condition that is affecting the patient. Often handouts include rehabilitation exercises that the patient can perform at home to help with their condition.
